Hotel Arrangements:

A new venue this year, the Cape Codder Resort offers rates of $154.00 ppdo ($258.00 ppso, $119.00 ppto), which includes two nights' accommodations (including tax), two $10.00 breakfast vouchers for the on-site Hearth n' Kettle Restaurant, and one Saturday evening dinner buffet (including taxes and gratuities). All guests have free access to the resort's 900-square-foot Fitness Center and free wireless Internet access. The undisputed highlight of the resort, however, is the 8,200-square-foot Indoor Wave Pool. It offers a 24-person hot tub, two saunas, waterfalls, dancing water fountains, a 2-foot intermittent wave, and one 50-foot and another 80-foot water slide. This pool is truly amazing! Consider bringing your family!

Hotel deposits of $50 pp must be received by the tournament director before 29 September 2004. Unlike in years past, rooms must be reserved before the cutoff. After the 29th, the rooms will cost the current rack rate (around $159.00 per night with no meals included), so please reserve your room before the cutoff. IMPORTANT: the Cape Codder will only refund room deposits with at least a 72-hour notice.

Entry Fee:
$60 (div 1)/$45 (div 2, 3, 4) pp non-refundable registration fee (includes a rating fee).

Divisions:
Players will divided into four groups based on 1 October 2004 ratings:
Division 1 (1700 and higher)
Division 2 (1699-1400)
Division 3 (1399-1000)
Division 4 (999 and lower)
(Players within 100 points of the next division may play up.)
Pairs Tournament

A longtime favorite, pairs SCRABBLE® pits one team of two players (who choose each other and play all their games together) against another team of two. Instead of 50-minute rounds, we'll use 60-minute rounds (allotting 30 minutes to each side) to permit more time for communication within each team. Understandably, most players find these games less stressful and more fun. Depending on the number of registrants, there will be between four and six divisions. Each pair's division will be determined by the average of both players' ratings (but no more than 100 points lower than higher rated player's rating). Number of registrants will affect prizes. All pairs registration fees will be returned as prizes after helper expenses.
